Convicted criminal President Donald Trump's Legacy

Hey the Big Windbag was convicted!! Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy.

A verdict in a month? C'mom @tvstrip - the prosecution did an awesome job. A unanimous decision. Guilty on all 34 counts. The defense did absolutely nothing to counteract the evidence. Trump usually hires the worst lawyers -- i.e., Alina Habba, Rudy Guiliani, and Sidney Powell. And he has the worst record in trials: 2-73. However, Todd Blanche, Emil Bove and Susan Necheles have the worst client in the world to deal with. Their hands are tied with this boob. Matthew Colangelo, Susan Hoffinger and Joshua Steinglass should be congratulated for the good job they did. Alvin Bragg should be congratulated with praise for following up on the Mark Pomerantz case in the office of former New York County District Attorney, Cyrus Vance Jr.

Michael Cohen was the key witness. He corroborated both the Stormy Daniels and David Pecker testimony. And most importantly, he was believed by the jury.

Had I known about this beforehand in 2016? ... I would have changed my vote. I would have voted for Hillary Clinton in the November election.

Remember, all it takes is just 1 juror to hold up the verdict.
Yes, the prosecution did a great job. I think they easily convinced the general public that there wasn't much of a case here. What he did totally matches his persona as well, so I feel it wasn't a hard sell.

I do feel for his lawyers - like you said, their hands were tied with a horrible case and an even more horrible client who couldn't keep his mouth shut. But they also had the chance to make a name for themselves, so that was a risk they chose to take when they took him on as a client.

But like I said, the sentence - and if it will actually be carried out before the election - that will be the real test. It would be interesting to see if a prez campaign can be run from jail.

I would have taken the over on a verdict within two days. As @tvstrip noted, it takes just one juror to muck up the results.

Although neither of our ballots marked a vote for Hillary, we did vote for Hillary. Colorado and New York cast all of their electoral votes for her.

Time to Lock Him Up? Or pardon him? Dean Phillips suggests a pardon by Kathy Hochul is in order. Accepting the pardon would imply guilt, so Trump would likely decline it.

To have Governor Hochul grant him clemency and pardon him? I don't think so. Because ultimately, that doesn't hold him accountable for his actions. He's not above the law. I see Judge Merchan imposing more contempt charges because he clearly now violated the gag order in that press conference that he gave at Trump Tower.

The best case scenario. Judge Merchan will probably give him more fines and probation along with 1,500 hours of community service. That, in turn, will lead to more backlash from Donald Trump on his Truth Social account about how the trial was rigged and how the judge and district attorney are corrupt.

The worst case scenario. He's given a two year prison sentence. Judge Merchan orders him remanded into custody immediately because he is a flight risk. He misses the RNC Convention. He can't debate President Joe Biden. He misses Election Day. November 5. He can't vote since he's now a convicted felon serving out his sentence. The New York State Court of Appeals takes nine months to hear his appeal. Those appeals are denied.

No interviews with Sean Hannity and Fox News. No internet access. No Truth Social posts. Strictly a bread and water diet. Along with an hour in the yard for exercise. :)

... Let's see how this plays out.

One day, he and I will stand before our Maker to give an account for ourselves. No stall and delay legal tactics will be available. No band of happy followers to speak up for us. All of our wealth left behind. While it is claimed justice may not have prevailed in this world, it shall prevail in the world to come. Amen?

This is just going to give Trump more votes.
The jury is out on the 'more votes' part. It may seem that way now, but in 5 months the situation will be different. Reality will eventually sink in - especially with independent voters. These cases need to be about justice, not retribution or impacting votes - that is what gerrymandering is about.

The odd part is that no one is proclaiming Trump 'not guilty' they are just complaining about the system.

Plus celebrities will avoid porn stars for now on.
Well ... avoid fucking pornstars when you are married and then paying them off immediately before an election to cover it up. Otherwise, mingling is fine.

Very true.
