Yup, that's what it says in forums all over the place, but without sources it's just hearsay. Maybe I should have stated that clearer, what I'm looking for are primary sources, news articles and the like, even court publications or statements, of which there must have been some.
The allegations were pretty serious, up to rape, battery, and assault if I remember correctly, and I would like to know how the court argued, whether the proceeding were canceled because there were agreements, or whether the case was dropped due to other reasons. I don't know about Czech law, but where I live, the state must prosecute crimes like that, and it can only end in either a conviction or acquittal. Private agreements do not matter in such cases. A double sided sword sometimes, but at least it makes clear that you can't buy yourself out of your troubles just because you have the money. Of course, if a rape victim, for instance, doesn't want to give testimony, there is not much the prosecution can do about it. But if people like those scumbags can avoid prosecution by making these private agreements, I don't think it's a good thing.
So, there must be public statements by the court, the prosecution, and others involved. I'm just too stupid to find them, it would seem, and it's also not helpful that the sources are presumably in Czech, which makes it hard to even know what to search for in a foreign language.
Take care!
